I come from a long line of poets in my family. My great-grandfather wrote poems,
as well as some popular song lyrics of his time. My Mom, myself, & all my siblings
write poetry. My sister & I each keep a Poetry Journal, which we write in on a regular
basis. Poetry is a beautiful form of self expression, which I delight in. Please, feel
free to browse through my poetry & enjoy!

Desert Rose
It blooms in the Summer,
Fades in the Fall.
As it dies and petals fall,
In our minds, its beauty we recall.
Spring arrives and refreshing showers flow,
As it wakens, its petals open, absorbing the Sun's glow.
Once more it rises, seeking Sun and Rain,
The lone beauty lives again, On the desert plain.
Change of time, Change of Season,
The petals once more close,
Until it comes to life again,
The lovely Desert Rose.

White Frost
White Frost,
A Snowy Day.
Snow on the Sidewalk,
Shovel It Away.
White Puffs of Breath,
Out of My Mouth.
It Is So Cold,
I Think I'll Go South!
White Frost,
A Snowy Day.
Snow on the Mountains,
Sliding Away.
White Frost.

In The Ocean
In The Ocean, Where Dolphins Swim & Glide,
In The Ocean, Small Treasures Come In With The Tide.
You'll Find Shells & Such,
To Pick up & Touch,
To Stuff In Your Pockets & hide.
In The Ocean, The Creatures Swim Free.
In The Ocean, Come Watch Them With Me.
Through The Water They Fly,
As If In The Sky.
They Fly Way Out Into Sea.

The Frenchman
There was a young man from France,
Who over-starched his pants.
He went to the ball,
Could not move at all.
His pants were too stiff to dance.
So, he took a liquid filled cup,
And splashed around like a pup.
He splashed his pants,
Did a little dance,
And soon he was jiggin' it up!
So he danced on into the night,
Despite his splashy sight.
He had so much fun,
His partner he spun,
And gave her a terrible fright!
